(69 16 42 N, 16 00 31 E, elev. 380 m) is a modern facility where scientific groups from 6 nations are investigating in atmosphere research.

Andøya Rocket Range
The ALOMAR instrumentation covers all atmospheric layers from the troposphere to the lower thermosphere.
Additional instruments
looking at physical parameters in the ionosphere, magnetosphere and auroral oval are making ALOMAR a full size atmospheric laboratory in the arctic.
